When Joe Biden delivered his divisive speech on his installation as president, he described the divisions in this country with these words: “Our history has been a constant struggle between the American ideal, that we are all created equal, and the harsh ugly reality that racism, nativism and fear have torn us apart.”
Biden was partially correct when he uttered those words. America today is indeed in a struggle between those who believe in the Founding idea that “all men [and women] are created equal” and those who support a racist ideology that would plunge America into the horrors of tribalism. The problem with Biden’s position, however, is that he mixed up the sides.
Biden made clear which side he was on when he signed an executive order that reversed President Trump’s executive order that banned the use of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in the training of federal employees and contractors. CRT is a poisonous neo-Marxist ideology that judges a person’s worth solely due to his race. Except for which races are favored or disfavored, the core racial beliefs of CRT are indistinguishable from those of the KKK and Nazi Germany.
Biden went ever further in institutionalizing this racist ideology, now a dogma of the Democratic Party, when he appointed Susan Rice as the director of his Domestic Policy Council. Biden tasked Rice to implement the tenets of CRT, under the guise of “equity,” to all aspects of Federal policy.
CRT also holds a central role in the Democrats’ election strategy. Daniel Greenfield at Frontpage Mag has an excellent article on this entitled Critical Race Theory is How Democrats Plan to Win Elections on how they have weaponized CRT to terrorize the suburban middle class to support this racist dogma. Here is an excerpt, but I highly recommend reading the entire article:
Critical race theory is doing what it’s supposed to do by polarizing America along tribal racial lines and along class lines among white people. White suburban moms attend book clubs discussing White Fragility and other critical race theory texts as a form of networking. Having the right politics is crucial to your career in a variety of fields. Not all of the signs asserting that in this house the inhabitants believe in science, love, and black nationalism, are voluntary statements of belief. They’re people flying the new post-American tribal flag to fit in.
CRT as implemented by the Democrats would pervert the proper role of government. Under the Democrats’ totalitarian vision, the government will no longer be one that aims to protect American liberties as promised by the Founders. Instead, the government will use the coercive powers of the state to administer “social justice” and to ensure “equity” for the government-anointed favored racial and social groups. Government-imposed “equity” is the antithesis of equality.
CRT is an existential threat not just to their electoral chances of the Republican Party, however, but to the very concept of liberty as enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. As such, we need a robust response to this threat if our constitutional republic dedicated to liberty is to survive.
Republicans need to put the Democrats on a constant defense for their racist ideology. This should be central to Republican politics going forward. A return of GOP politics to the pre-Trumpian emphasis on tax reform, balanced budgets, and favors for the Chamber of Commerce as envisioned by Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), former Governor John Kasich (R-OH), and other “Bourbon Republicans” trying to restore l’ancien régime is insufficient in today’s fight against the totalitarian and divisive policies of the Democratic Party.
